Stoped off at my area Massey Furguson dealer yesterday to take a look at there compact tractors. The 1st one that I noticed was the 1235-4WD hydro and tuff tires. Well after a long conversation and a test ride, My 1st thoughts where a very nice unit, but the ride was a littel rough, Could be the smaller wheel base.
As things go we came down to some numbers, the tractor was $15.500. the Loader was $3.800 for a 60" bucket and the 60" MMM was $2.500 for a total of $21.800.
IS THIS A LITTLE HIGH IN PRICE?? seems like it to me.
So as my shopping goes this is what Ive seen so far.
MF $21.800
JD $22.000
NH $20.600
BOTA $20.550
CASE $20.900
All 5 of these are the same package, tractor, loader and MMM.
your feed back is alway welcome

My notion is to find a tractor and dealer you really like. If good dealer, service and parts support can be expected in the future, the tractor that is liked best probably is the best one. A couple thousand distributed over the 20+ years or more many tractors are kept really isn't much per year. To be a bit finer, expected long-term maintenance costs might be thought about. Don't know, but it's not uncommon for lower priced items to have higher maintenance costs and that makes them actually more expensive to own.
Regarding the rough ride: If it comes with a MMM then it probably has turf tires. I'd check the tire pressures. Some set-up mechanics seem to have a 'the higher the better' attitude about tire pressures. The seat is another possible explanation.

Two of the tractors should be the same tractor, Case and NH. Case is normally more. ....
